I'm currently looking for "HID Installers" that live in other states.

Anyone that has purchased and installed these HID kits, have seen that they are relatively easy to install.  I have customers from other states that have brought their bike to me to have the HID kits installed.  Contact me if you have a shop and you feel that you are comfortable installing these kits.  I'll add your company name and contact information to this site.  I will offer a dealer purchase price on the kits and you charge the customer for installation.

Current HID Installers

You can contact these shops to have our HID kits installed.

Hemrick Performance is not responsible for any damages caused by any installer.

Installers will quote their own installation prices.

HID Headlights
There are a lot of "cheap" Harley HID kits on the market, but you won't see any of them including the passing lamps.  This is because the HID version of the 881 bulb for the passing lamps are manufactured too long to fit in the light.  I have contacted a bulb manufacturer to have them to manufacture a bulb that will work in the passing lamps exclusively for Hemrick Performance.

True Story:  Steve Cole (director of Winston Salem HOG Group) told me that he was pulled over by a police officer one night, just wanting to know where he could get the lights for his bike.  He said that the office was very impressed with how well they lit up the road, while he was riding behind Steve's Ultra.

I had a customer tell me that he has spent thousands of dollars on his CVO Harley, but the HID lights was the best investment that he has ever made.

A customer stood up at a local HOG meeting and said that he feels that the HID lights saved him from a wreck just days after they were installed.  He said that a car started to pull out in front of him, when he saw the front of the vehicle squat and the rear of the vehicle raise from it slamming on the brakes.  He thinks that the outcome would be different if he didn't have HID lights.

 See Better -
Be Seen Better -
Be Safer!

I installed HID lights on Mark and Molly Infield's Bikes

(Owner of Full Throttle Magazine).
Here is the article that they published in January's issue of
Full Throttle Magazine
.

Which Bike Do You Think Will Be Seen Easier?
YES, there are two bikes in this picture.
If the driver of this truck was pulling out, which bike would he see?

How much is your safety worth?

Left:  Stock Halogen...................Right:  HID

It's obvious that HID headlights work better than halogen headlights in the dark, but the real advantage is how well that they can be seen in the day light and in bad weather by other drivers.

If  you don't see your bike on the list, contact me by e-mail.  I'm currently fitting the kits to other bikes such as this Rocker.

Note:  The installation requires you to drill a 3/8 hole in passing lamp
for the HID cable to route through.  The hole is concealed and not noticeable.
This picture shows the cable and and routing of the cable.

HID bulbs uses a ballast to convert 12 volts to thousands of volts, similar to an ignition coil.  The bulbs have two electrodes inside that allow this high voltage to arch across the electrodes heating the  xenon gas which produces the very bright light.  HID lighting is very similar to florescent lighting that is in your home.

Other advantages of HID systems are that they last many times longer that conventional bulbs because they do not have a filament that burns out after time.  They also draw less current than halogen bulbs.  These HID systems are rated at 35 watts.  The stock halogen bulb in your Harley is rated at 55 watt (low beam) and 60 watt (high beam).

Note:
The earlier bikes do not use the 881 bulbs in their passing lamps.
These bulbs will need to be upgraded to the later passing lamps.

Most of the earlier bike headlights use the H4 bulbs (like the later model bikes) but the lens is not clear and will not match the later model passing lamps.  You may want to upgrade the headlight.

The earlier model bikes use only one factory fuse to supply power to both headlight and passing lamps.  Our kit requires a separate fuse and harness to supply power to the passing lamps.  The harness is included in the price.

Our HID ballast are rated at 35w per ballast during normal operation.  The wattage will be a little higher during the bulb's start up period.

The factory halogen headlight bulb is rated at 55w lo / 60w hi.

The ballast that we use has a protection circuit built in that will cut to ballast off if the voltage supplied to the ballast drops below 9.5 volts or if the supplied voltage is above 16 volts.  This circuit is to protect the ballast from being damaged.
